OCE is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the public from the harmful effects of air and water pollution. Through a combined strategy of enforcement, education and advocacy, we empower individuals, families and local communities to participate in decisions that impact air and water quality.
Enforcement - OCE has been successful in using strategic litigation to hold regional and national agencies responsible for cleaning up the air and water in the Bay Area and throughout the United States.
Education - OCE educates the public about the health problems caused by pollution in their neighborhoods, and about how citizens can become involved in improving air and water quality.
Advocacy - OCE uses administrative advocacy to hold enforcement agencies accountable for enforcing the clean air and clean water laws.
